I was blessed to be accepted to setup shop at the first Vintage Market Days market in Nashville. It was held at Fiddler's Grove which is a re-created country town with authentic old buildings that have been moved onto the site from across the state. It was a great setting for a vintage/antique market.
I love the VMD shows because they really think about us vendors. Everyone I met was very friendly and helpful. Since I made the trip by myself I really appreciated having someone to help me put up my tent. I liked that someone came around every hour or so to checking to see if I needed a ladies room break. It's the things like this that make me want to support this franchise of markets.
Another big thing for me was getting my booth together. My challenge is always getting everything to fit in my SUV - especially for these markets where the visual design of the booth is a BIG deal. Here's what I ended up with:
Overall it was a good show for me with the exception of the heat! I typically don't do outdoor shows because my body creams are finicky and don't do well above 75 degrees. It had the audacity to be 86 degrees in October in Nashville.
I've applied for and been accepted to the Spring 2017 show which will be held in the indoor arena on the same Williamson County Fairgrounds complex next May. To all my customers in the Nashville-Area I would love to see you there!
