Field Trip - Sheffield's Antiques in Collierville, TN

One of my favorite places to go is Sheffield's Antiques.  Located in Collierville, TN just East of Memphis, Sheffield's is 78,000 sq ft of antique, vintage, upcycled, reloved, and handmade goodies.  The store is a former Walmart and features over 300 individual dealer booths.  It's a great place to get inspiration for booth designs for markets such as Vintage Market Days or our local Southern Junkers. A few things that caught my eye.

Market Report - Vintage Market Days Nashville at Fiddlers Grove

I was blessed to be accepted to setup shop at the first Vintage Market Days market in Nashville.  It was held at Fiddler's Grove which is a re-created country town with authentic old buildings that have been moved onto the site from across the state.  It was a great setting for a vintage/antique market. I love the VMD shows because they really think about us vendors.  Everyone I met was very friendly and helpful.  Since I made the trip by myself I really appreciated having someone to help me put up my tent.  I liked that someone came around every...

Vintage Fashion Love

One of my favorite time-wasters is browsing the internet for vintage photos.  I love the style women had especially in the 1920s to the 1960s. I love that most of the clothing was handmade with hand stitching and made from natural fibers.  I love that before we had factories everything was OOAK (one-of-a-kind).
I love the longer hemlines of the 1920s which made everyone look tall and sleek.
